Staff Support / Consulting

The staff of Washington CASH is dedicated to the success of our client members. We provide consulting and technical advice in 1-on-1 sessions upon request. Our staff has  expertise in accounting/bookkeeping, marketing, website development, business planning, and more.

Advanced Workshops

Through our network of volunteers we regularly offer Advanced Workshops. Our volunteer instructors teach workshops throughout the month on a variety of topics. Titles include: Business Planning 101, Basic Computer Training, You Can Sell Anything!, Bring Your Business Online, Hands-on Financial Worksheets, Creative Marketing, Legal Issues, and more. Access to Markets

One of the most challenging aspects of being a small business owner in the U.S. is connecting with the marketplace. Competition is fierce and getting your product or service in front of customers can be very expensive. Washington CASH organizes a minimum of three Business Showcase Events per year. These venues allow our members to sell their products or services to the general public. The events happen in February (on Valentines Day), in May (during our big fundraising event), and in December (our holiday bizarre). We also look for any opportunity to get our members involved in other marketing opportunities, such as local conferences, festivals and fairs.

Computer Resource Lab

Washington CASH’s computer resource lab is outfitted with Hewlett-Packard software and equipment and serves a wide variety of business needs. The lab is available to clients 46 hours per week. These resources includes access to

  • Internet
  • Color and Black & White Printers
  • Fax machine
  • Copy machine
  • Relevant forms
  • One on one technical assistance in using any of the software or hardware available in the lab
  • and many other useful business tools and resources.
