Business Group Member Meetings

Trying to create or grow a small business is hard work—and sometimes lonely work, too. That's why Washington C.A.S.H. believes in the power of community support for its Business Development Training (BDT) graduates. Our twice-monthly member meeting include:

Networking
Twice a month, we host evening events for our members. The first part of the evening allows members to network with each other, and members can bring marketing materials, products, or displays to let people know about their businesses. Guest speakers are also invited to provide other small business resources to the members.

Business Groups
Business Groups are one of the most powerful aspects of Washington C.A.S.H. Being self-employed can be challenging, difficult, and sometimes isolating. The Business Groups meet during the later part of our Member Meetings, where they receive both support and encouragement from fellow Washington C.A.S.H. business owners. Group members give feedback,  accountability, and most importantly, are dedicated to the success of each member.

Advanced Trainings
The Business Groups may also include training in an area of business.  These vary and are often in response to the requests of our members.  Trainings cover topics such as contracting, sales strategies, taxes, goal setting, risk management, on-line marketing, and many other topics of interest.

Group Mentors
Each Business Group has an experienced mentor. Mentors are volunteers who have owned or currently own their own business, or have expertise in different areas of business ownership. Group Mentors act as support and a ‘go-to’ person for help and advice. If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please see our volunteer page for more information.
