Washington C.A.S.H. Board Announces Executive Director Transition

It is with regrets that we announce the resignation of Cheryl Sesnon from Washington C.A.S.H. The Board of Directors is proud of the unique and life-changing business training program she has helped establish and grow for our clients, and congratulates her on her new role as Executive Director at Jubilee Women’s Center.

During her tenure at Washington C.A.S.H., Cheryl grew the program in multiple directions by creating a one-of-a-kind Financial Certification Program, starting a Business Accelerator with one-on-one coaching for our graduates, and most recently opening a store called Ventures that provides direct market access and retail coaching for C.A.S.H. clients. In these accomplishments and others, she has directly impacted client success, and has positioned the organization for its next phase of growth. We wish her all the best in her new position at Jubilee.

Other supporters from the community have also shared their gratitude for her outstanding efforts, including Michael Brown, Vice President, Community Leadership, The Seattle Foundation, who offered these words: “The Seattle Foundation wishes Cheryl the very best in her new adventure. Washington C.A.S.H.’s focus on helping individuals move toward economic self-sufficiency is strongly aligned with the Foundation's Healthy Community framework. We believe Washington C.A.S.H. remains well positioned to continue its efforts to develop microenterprise in our region.”

The Board will be hiring an Interim Executive Director while conducting an extensive search for a full-time Executive Director. Cheryl will remain available during the transition time and maintains her support of our mission. Due to our outstanding staff, the organization has never been in a stronger position, and the Board is committed to finding an Executive Director who will continue to build upon our success.
