Cheryl Sesnon

Executive Director

 

Cheryl is passionately committed to empowering individuals to move out of poverty.  From 1994 to 2000, Cheryl was the Executive Director of FareStart, a job training program serving homeless men and women.  Following FareStart, Cheryl spent seven years as a consultant and trainer for many nonprofits, working locally, nationally, and internationally, with the Social Investors Forum, Seattle Jobs Initiative, United Way of Seattle/King County, Casey Family Programs, Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos in Central America, and many others.  She has served as an adjunct professor at Seattle University teaching graduate level strategic planning for nonprofits and public organizations as well as undergraduate level nonprofit business enterprise courses.  She has her Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership from Seattle University.  Cheryl fully understands the skills needed and the challenges faced by small business owners, having run her own custom cake and catering business for six years.
