Mary Eriksson-Humphrey, Volunteer Coordinator/Program Assistant

Mary recently joined Washington CASH, and is very excited to be a part of the team, and of the greater movement to fight poverty and build a stronger community through entrepreneurship. In her role as Volunteer Coordinator/Program Assistant she supports, coordinates, and recruits volunteers, as well as provides assistance to the programs. Prior to joining Washington CASH, Mary worked as Mentor and Volunteer Coordinator for Foster A Dream, an organization providing mentoring and supportive services to at-risk foster youth. She also coordinated programs for various non-profit organizations supporting families and youth in need, including San Diego Youth and Community Services, the Young Women’s Christian Association, Club Xcite for Kids, where she served as a mentor for at-risk youth. She also spent a summer in Romania in Eastern Europe, teaching English and mentoring inner-city youth. From all of her experiences, Mary witnessed the power of mentoring and volunteering, and its tremendous impact on the individuals and the community.  She has a huge passion and energy for volunteerism and community involvement, and is thrilled to support and motivate others to get involved in the exciting volunteer opportunities at Washington CASH.
