Mary Eriksson-Humphrey
Volunteer Coordinator & Program Assistant
Mary recruits, coordinates, and supports volunteers, and also provides assistance to the many programs of Washington C.A.S.H.
Growing up in an entrepreneurial home and working in many micro-businesses in her youth gave Mary an understanding for small business owners and empathy for the challenges they face. She was thrilled to join Washington C.A.S.H and be a part of an organization helping to fight poverty while empowering small business owners to become successful.
Prior to joining Washington C.A.S.H., Mary coordinated volunteers and programs for various nonprofit organizations supporting families and youth, most recently Foster A Dream, where she worked as Mentor Program Coordinator for at risk foster youth. She also worked as a Volunteer and Program Coordinator at San Diego Youth and Community Services, the YWCA (Young Women’s Christian Association), and Club Xcite for Kids, where she also served as a mentor. Through all of these experiences, Mary gained expertise in volunteer program management, and witnessed the tremendous impact of volunteerism on individuals and the community.
Beyond her work at C.A.S.H., Mary loves ocean sports, snowboarding, hiking, camping, and almost any other outdoor activity. Passionate about travel, she studied abroad in Spain, and lived in Eastern Europe for a summer teaching English to inner city youth. She has traveled throughout Western and Eastern Europe, and Central America, and is always planning her next adventure.
