Annual Fund Officer

http://washingtoncash.org/webfm_send/549As the Annual Fund Officer, Kate is responsible for developing Washington C.A.S.H.’s individual giving program and connecting donors with Washington C.A.S.H.’s inspiring clients and programs. She feels fortunate to be a part of such a committed team that is helping small business owners achieve success and self-reliance.

Kate has over 6 years of experience working with non-profit organizations both in Seattle and abroad. Prior to working at Washington C.A.S.H., Kate served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panamá for two years. As a Community Economic Development Consultant, she worked with a local cattle ranchers’ association to write a strategic plan to address issues with milk production that negatively impacted local economic stability. Additionally, she collaborated with association leadership to develop a grant application which led to $24,000 in funding from the United Nations Development Programme. This funding was used for training on and implementation of improved pasture management techniques and environmental restoration in rural Panamá.

Kate also spent four years working for The Nature Conservancy, with experience in Operations, Human Resources, and Philanthropy. As part of The Nature Conservancy’s fundraising team, Kate organized events that helped donors learn more about The Nature Conservancy’s programs while finding meaningful connections to nature and conservation efforts. Kate graduated Cum Laude from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon with a Bachelors degree in English and Comparative Religion.

In her spare time, Kate enjoys volunteering at the Seattle Aquarium, reading, hiking, and playing with her two cats. She also loves to travel and go scuba diving with her husband.
